We said goodbye to our chicks today and Farmer Gerard came to our classroom to show us a hen from his farm that is almost ready to lay her own eggs. We were sad to say goodbye to the chicks bit we are happy that the chicks are returning to see their families again and will have lots more space to run around and grow in.
We had some very important guests in our classroom... the eggs have hatched and the baby chicks have grown so much over the weekend! Today they came to our classroom and we were very excited to welcome them!
We had great fun making pancakes in our class to celebrate Pancake Tuesday, or Shrove Tuesday. Thank you to all the mums and dads for giving us lots of delicious toppings! On Wednesday we made our Lenten promises!
Recently we have been learning about different types of measures in our class! Múinteoirí Aisling, Donna and Elaine have been helping us to measure the length, weight and capacity of different objects! We love hands-on maths activities and we are so lucky to have so many teahers to help us!
This week, Muinteoir Lisa joined us for Show and Tell. Each of us brought a special toy to school and showed it to our friends in circle time. We all described our toy using at least 3 sentences.
We earned all 10 stars for best line this week! Then we voted to have a surprise treat and movie party! Múinteoir Ailish made some cookie sandwiches for our mystery treat and we loved them!
This week we practised mindful movements with Michelle. It was a great relaxing and focused activity that helped us to concentrate our minds and bodies.
