We love reading!

We love reading in our class and we visit the library every week to read books and pick out other interesting books to read at home!

Releasing the butterflies

We have been busy learning all about the life cycle of the butterfly and the boys and girls have waited patiently for the caterpillars to form their chrysalis and then waited patiently for them to emerge from their cocoons as butterflies! 

We were so excited when they came out of their cocoons and once all five butterflies had come out, we released them!

We sang goodbye to them and we will be looking carefully in the sky to see if we can see them again soon!

Birthday celebrations

We love to celebrate birthdays in our classroom by singing happy birthday and sharing treats! 

Attendance Awards

Well done to the boys and girls who achieved their bronze attendance awards for this term! Also a big well done to the children who won silver awards for being in school every day for both terms!

Maths Activities

Everyday in our Maths lessons, we use lots of concrete materials to learn about number! Here we are learning to sequence number cards up to 10!

Learning about Spain

We have been very lucky to have 2 Spanish students working with our class, helping us with our work and teaching us about Spain! Andrea and Angela taught us all about the country of Spain and even showed us how to do 2 traditional Spanish dances - the Cha Cha and the Macarena! Here we are practising our moves!

World Book Day

We had great fun dressing up as our favourite storybook characters for World Book Day! We also loved listening to and reading other children's favourite stories too!
