Our very own Movie Maker!

One of the boys in our class has been working really hard with Múinteoir Melissa, to create his very own movie! He came up with the story for his movie, using a storyboard and worked hard to create the figures for his movie. Using claymation, he took several pictures and put them together, to make the movie. This week, he finished the movie and shared it with his class! We all loved it and think it is so cool that there is a boy in our class who made his very own movie! Have a look at the movie below!

Baking with Múinteoir Lisa

The children worked on their procedural writing this week with Múinteoir Lisa. They worked hard at making Rice Krispie buns and then they wrote up the recipe, for others to use! Thanks Múinteoir Lisa for helping us make yummy buns!

World Book Day

Today we celebrated World Book Day in our school.  The children were very excited to share the books that they brought to school and they were excited to be dressed up as a book character! We love reading in our class!

Our chicks have grown

We said goodbye to our chicks today and Farmer Gerard came to our classroom to show us a hen from his farm that is almost ready to lay her own eggs. We were sad to say goodbye to the chicks bit we are happy that the chicks are returning to see their families again and will have lots more space to run around and grow in.

Visiting chicks

We had some very important guests in our classroom... the eggs have hatched and the baby chicks have grown so much over the weekend! Today they came to our classroom and we were very excited to welcome them!

Pancake Tuesday

We had great fun making pancakes in our  class to celebrate Pancake Tuesday, or Shrove Tuesday. Thank you to all the mums and dads for giving us lots of delicious toppings! On Wednesday we made our Lenten promises!

Numeracy Team Teaching

Recently we have been learning about different types of measures in our class! Múinteoirí Aisling, Donna and Elaine have been helping us to measure the length, weight and capacity of different objects! We love hands-on maths activities and we are so lucky to have so many teahers to help us!
