This week we practised mindful movements with Michelle. It was a great relaxing and focused activity that helped us to concentrate our minds and bodies.

10 at 10 for Operation Transformation
Today we had great fun celebrating '10 at 10' for Operation Transformation! All of the children in the school took part in activities such as hip-hop dancing, skipping, jogging, soccer, Irish dancing and lots of other fun exercises! We spent our 10 minutes exercising in the Jungle Gym! Look at all of the energy we used and the fun we had! We were very sweaty and hot after and we were very happy too!

Operation Transformation Walk 2017
We had a very exciting start to our week this week! On Monday, all of the boys and girls from our school and from Merlin College joined together to take on a walking challenge! Some of our mums, dads, grandparents, sisters and brothers joined us too and shortly after 9.00, over 800 of us took off walking around the park in our local area! We had great fun warming up in our basketball court first and got a great kick out of exercising in our local area!

Mindful Movements
We have been very lucky in our school to be learning about Mindfulness this year. We are working on our mind-up lessons each week and practising our mindful brain breaks each day. To help us to become even more mindful, we are now doing Mindful Movements with Michelle! Look at the pictures below to see how mindful we are becoming!

Last Judo session
Today we had our last session of Judo with Andrew and Maeve. We are improving each week and are learning to master some of the more advanced Judo techniques!
We started today by performing the Rei and stretching...
and the sideways roll...
Next we performed the forwards arm crawl...
Then we did the forwards scooch using our arms...
Before finishing up, we played a game called Nemo, where one person was chosen as a shark and the others had to escape the grasp of the shark. See if you can spot the shark...Wednesday, 17 September 2014
