Handwriting Help
Hi Mums and Dads!
Sometimes the handwriting is a bit tricky for us to remember, so here is a very handy link to a demo that you can use to help your child with the letter formation!
https://www.prim-ed.com/webshop/Pupil-Workbooks/Handwriting/Handwriting-Today
Just click on this link and then click on "DOWNLOAD HERE" for a free demo of the letter formation for our cursive writing.
We are learning to write our capital letters now in Senior Infants, so any extra work at home would really help the children!

Busy at Work
We love to work hard and play hard in our classroom. In the mornings, we do structured play and it helps us to learn social skills, as well as problem solving. After we play, we continue to learn by working hard at our tabletop activities, like handwriting and maths! We love the mix of fun and hard work in our classroom!

Our Indoor Forest Garden
Múinteoir Karmel and Múinteoir Damien have been working really hard in our school to make a beautiful indoor forest garden for all the children and grown-up's to enjoy! They have added some beautiful flowers, trees, plants and other living things to our garden. We can use of our senses to experience and enjoy the garden, from listening to the beautiful outdoor sounds like singing birds and gushing water, to smelling the blossoming spring flowers, to looking at the budding trees and plants around the garden. We love our school garden so much and some of us have even brought some things from nature to add to our garden! We can't wait to see the garden as it changes during the spring season!

Picnic/Playground Party
We have been working very hard in our class to get stars for the best líne on yard and walking back into class after break time. This week we managed to fill our chart and earn our reward! We voted to have a picnic/playground party and today we had it! We gathered together some picnic blankets and walked down to the playground. We had been learning about báirín breac in Gaeilge and many of us hadn't tasted it, so Múinteoir Ailish gave us some báirín breac to taste as a special treat. Two of us even found a fáinne inside the báirín breac! Some of us loved the Halloween treat and others didn't! After our picnic, we played in the playground together and had lots of fun. We will work really hard again to earn our next reward!
