Trip to the cinema

Last week the children from the Wise Oaks classroom and the Clever Acorns classroom were invited to the Eye Cinema for a special sensory screening of the movie Smallfoot. We got the bus from Doughiska Road and before the movie, the boys in the Wise Oaks went to the pet shop to look at all of the interesting animals there. They even got to pet the little rabbits! The boys really enjoyed the movie and were learned all about the importance of having new ideas and being a good member of society.

Prize for Best Líne

We earned all 10 stars for best line this week! Then we voted to have a surprise treat and movie party! Múinteoir Ailish made some cookie sandwiches for our mystery treat and we loved them!

Picnic/Playground Party

We have been working very hard in our class to get stars for the best líne on yard and walking back into class after break time. This week we managed to fill our chart and earn our reward! We voted to have a picnic/playground party and today we had it! We gathered together some picnic blankets and walked down to the playground. We had been learning about báirín breac in Gaeilge and many of us hadn't tasted it, so Múinteoir Ailish gave us some báirín breac to taste as a special treat. Two of us even found a fáinne inside the báirín breac! Some of us loved the Halloween treat and others didn't! After our picnic, we played in the playground together and had lots of fun. We will work really hard again to earn our next reward!

Adventures in the Playground!

Today we visited the playground that is beside our school! We had so much fun going on everything from the swings to the zip wire to the hamster wheel! We earned this special treat for filling our star chart for best líne for the second time this year! We hope we fill it again so we can return to the playground before the summer holidays!
