We went to Brigid's Garden in Roscahill for our school tour on Tuesday! We had lots of fun making clay creatures, building homes for mice and other woodland creatures and we even met the Queen of Summer! We made some potions to wish for great weather for the summer and we even had time to play in the playground! We loved our school tour!

Exploration Dome - Galway Science Week
Last week, some of the classes in our school were very lucky to participate in the Exploration Dome, as part of Galway Science Week. First we had a little introduction, where we learned about all of the planets and constellations (groups of stars) in the solar system. We learned about what the stars are used for and how to find the North Star. We asked lots of questions and answered some questions that Mike, the presenter, asked us. We then watched a show based on the solar system and weather patterns and it gave us a great idea of what life might be like on other planets in a very real 3D way!

Spring Walk
Spring is here! Múinteoir Ailish's First class and Múinteoir Denise's Clever Acorns spent a lovely afternoon enjoying the spring sunshine in Merlin Woods and the surrounding area. The children discovered many signs of spring, including spring flowers such as daffodils, dandelions and daisies, as well as finding several buds on the trees! On their trip, the children also found many animal habitats. Spring is a very exciting time in nature, with signs of new life all around us!
