Maths Week 2015
This week we have been celebrating national Maths Week in our class by taking part in lots of fun maths games and activities. On Monday, we did a Maths Trail around our school and classroom. We had to investigate and record answers to questions, such as 'How many legs are on one of the chairs in the classroom?', 'What colours are on the notice board outside the classroom?' and 'Find a shape in the classroom and draw it.' Look at the children counting the legs on the chair and observing and recording the colours on the notice board outside our classroom...
And here the children have found lots of shapes around the classroom in everyday objects, such as a circular clock, an oval shaped balloon, a rectangular sign and a square letter tile...
On Wednesday some of the mums and dad came to our classroom to play Maths for Fun games with the children. The boys and girls love to use their maths skills in a fun way!

Last Judo session
Today we had our last session of Judo with Andrew and Maeve. We are improving each week and are learning to master some of the more advanced Judo techniques!
We started today by performing the Rei and stretching...
and the sideways roll...
Next we performed the forwards arm crawl...
Then we did the forwards scooch using our arms...
Before finishing up, we played a game called Nemo, where one person was chosen as a shark and the others had to escape the grasp of the shark. See if you can spot the shark...
