Attendance Awards

Well done to the boys and girls in our class who earned bronze awards for full attendance for this term, silver awards for full attendance for 2 terms and congratulations to the winner of the gold award for full attendance for the entire school year!

School Tour

The The Junior Infants had a fantastic time on their school tour at Loughwell Pet Farm! Farmer Joe introduced the children to lots of farm animals like rabbits, hens, pigs, horses, ducks, donkeys and a turkey! They also had lots of fun in Farmer Michael's tractor train and on the horse and cart! Lots of fun was had by múinteoirí and children alike in the indoor play area and on the didi cars! 

Active Schools' Week

All of the boys and girls participated in lots of physical activities as part of Active Schools' Week this week. We had gymnastics in the hall on Monday, dance activities every day and fun activities outside and inside all week!

We love reading!

We love reading in our class and we visit the library every week to read books and pick out other interesting books to read at home!

Releasing the butterflies

We have been busy learning all about the life cycle of the butterfly and the boys and girls have waited patiently for the caterpillars to form their chrysalis and then waited patiently for them to emerge from their cocoons as butterflies! 

We were so excited when they came out of their cocoons and once all five butterflies had come out, we released them!

We sang goodbye to them and we will be looking carefully in the sky to see if we can see them again soon!

Birthday celebrations

We love to celebrate birthdays in our classroom by singing happy birthday and sharing treats!
